Fresh Milk News

'SAFE SETS' @ The Head, Gt Horton Rd, Thursday 28th Feb

'SAFE SETS' is an open mic night with a business edge, providing musicians, entertainers and performance artists with practical advice and information on how to promote themselves, make their talent into a business and how to protect their material.   The doors will open at 7:30pm with 10 open mic slots available, in which the bands/artists can share their material.  In between the acts will be industry experts such as experts on Intellectual Property and Festival Organisers who will speak for 5-10 minutes, giving details of who they are, what they do and how they can help and work with potential clients from the event.

The rest of the event will provide a forum for our musicians and artists (whether performing at the event or in the audience) to talk with industry professionals easily and in a familiar environment, against the backdrop of more live music and performances creating a multifaceted, entertaining and engaging event.

Performance slots are being taken swiftly from all types of acts from guitar bands, to comedians, to urban hip-hop to MCs and DJs and our industry professionals are growing in number and diversity, from a performance coach to festival organisers to an IP Lawyer.

The Fresh Milk Collective will be there to promote the use of this website and to encourage people to get involved with the continued efforts to give the Bradford Music Scene a kick up the bum!
